Plants are fascinating beings: we think ourselves so mighty because we can MOVE and THINK, but we depend on them for our existence while they don’t need us to survive at all!
In this club, we will be working with plants and learning about their intricate relationship with the ecosystem and with us by exploring various medicinal qualities. We will be exploring urban and vertical farming by building different types of growing setups including traditional soil based, hydroponics, and aeroponics. There is no “end date”: this club will grow and evolve throughout the year and for years to come, based on the direction our members take it.
We aim to sell the produce we grow at the farmers market this spring and summer, in the process also learning about business, finance, project management, marketing, and various legal considerations. Additionally, we can learn to cook with our produce, make tinctures and essential oils, breed various plants together, or even try to manipulate the plants at a genetic level!
